Upgrade from TiTAN to ZeeBORN in 5 minutes

With the next few posts we want to review some of the new features in the latest ZeeBORN software release.

The newest version of the ZeeBORN Fleet Management solution comes with a new package called “Migration Kit”. In our new document “Migrating from AVECS TiTAN to ZeeBORN in 5 minutes” we describe a typical process of migration from an older TiTAN software to our own Planned Maintenance solution.

Please read the document “Migrating from AVECS TiTAN to ZeeBORN in 5 minutes” for more details.

Of course the example shown in this document concentrates on a TiTAN migration. Other competing solutions can be migrated as well.

Similar solutions are also available for migrating data from Document Management (AVECS QDMS) and Crew Management (AVECS CrewMaster).

I would be glad to migrate away from titan but 5 minutes seems very optimistic. With a fleet of 10 vessels we will need at least 6 months.

We will release a more detailed description of the upgrade process next week. You may use our new subscription feature for receiving a notification.

BTW: These 5 minutes are related to the pure data conversion process for one ship. Of course the general upgrading of a complete fleet takes longer.

We still have the old dbf based titan. Does your tool support this?

Yes. All TiTAN versions are supported. In some cases we will need to adjust the converter a little bit.

You may test our conversion capabilities on our demo server. Just send us the data of one ship and we will create a demo account for you with these data. See http://www.zeeborn.net/2010/02/test-zeeborn-solutions-with-your-data/ for more details.
